Our Business: Tailings Re-treatment

Acapulco has identified the opportunity in secondary processing and beneficiation with regards to tailings retreatment in South Africa and potentially in other countries in the world that have a history of mining. Due to the long history of mining in South Africa there are large volumes of available resources as in low-grade material, tailings and waste dumps originated by existing mining houses. The advances in processing and beneficiation technologies have now made it economically viable to retreat this material and extract the valuable metals from them at a low cost and low risk. Furthermore this process contributes to the improvement of the environmental problems associates with such material.
